Nearest pub to the Olympic Stadium?
Is there anything closer than the Carpenters Arms, Stratford which (according to google maps) is a 10 mins walk away from the OS?

Hopefully you'll avoid getting stabbed on the way to Romford station.

Moon and star romford then a 7 minute train to stratford , just need to find somewhere to piss as I won't be able to walk all that way to the stadium with 8 pints in me.

So drinking in Hackney is off the cards and drinking in Stratford, other than the Black Bull is also off limits. Therefore Mile End/Bow it is.

Not sure how Gavvers come to the conclusion that the Little Driver is a shit pub. And if it gets busy with football crowds, it'll get better.

Re: Nearest pub to the Olympic Stadium?
Swan Wharf is going to be redeveloped, so the pub will shut down at some point, though I have no idea when. Basically all of Fish Island and Hackney Wick is going to be demolished and rebuilt as swanky apartments, so there will be plenty of bars there. They will tend to be posh than the ones serving the hipsters, who will be pushed out even further (ive heard of some heading over to warehouses on the river Roding). So, good for the TOWIE brigade.

No it was definitely called the Woodman, had a big painting of a geezer chopping wood. This building:

Probably knocked down now? Would have been a great pub for the stadium, if you could get across the road.

Could be worth standing outside the Goose, charging punters a tenner each to watch Kirsty wank off a spastic.

Could probably stream it and become a millionaire.
